SOUTHWEST GENERAL HOSPITAL ALSO KNOWN AS LTAC WAS FOUNDED IN 1910 AND WAS PURCHASED BY DR. HOMAN. HE PURCHASED THIS BECAUSE IN THE 1900'S THERE WAS A DISEASE CALLED TUBERCULOSIS. MANY PEOPLE WERE GETTING SICK. DR. HOMAN THAN RENAMED THE HOSPITAL ALBERT BALDWIN SANATORIUM AND WAS GOING TO REMOLDED IT BUT THAN THE STATE HAD GONE INTO NEGLECT. A FEW YEARS LATER DIDTERS FROM THE ORDER AT CONCORDIA, KANSAS REOPENED IT AS ST.JOSEPH IN AUGUST 20,1927. LATER THAN THEY WHEN THEY HAD REOPENED IT DR. HOMAN HAD CAME BACK AND SO DID HIS PARTNER DR. CRIMEN. LATER THEY STARTED REMODELING IT AND EVENTUALLY NAMED IT SOUTHWEST GENERAL HOSPITAL. THIS HOSPITAL WAS USED FOR REGULAR NEEDS. SOUTHWEST GENERALHOSPITAL HAD FIRST RECEIVED THEIR FIRST PATIENT IN JANUARY 25, 1937. MANY YEARS LATER THEY NAMED IT THE EL PASO LTAC. LTAC MEANS LONG TERM ACUTE CARE. NOW THEY USE THE HOSPITAL FOR GENRAL NEEDS BUT MOSTLY FOR PEOPLE THAT CANT CARE FOR THEMSELVES OR THERE ABOUT TO PASS.

Dr. Homan
DR. HOMAN WAS BORN IN BRYAN. AFTER HE GRADUATED IN 1897 HE HAD GONE TO COLORADO CITY. HE WENT TO DALLAS AND GOT IT BUT THEN RECOVERED AND WENT TO EL PASO. IN 1910 HE LEASED THE ALBERT BALDWIN SANATORIUM. LATER THAN HE NAMED IT HOMAN SANATORIUM. |

Dr.C. Crimen
Dr. CRIMEN WAS BORN IN NEW ORLEANS. BEORE HE HAD CAME HE WAS ON THE FACILITY OF THE DENTAL DEPARTMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF TULANE. HE HAD THEN CAME TO EL PASO, TEXAS. HE THEN WAS ACQUAINTED WITH DR.HOMAN AND HE AQUIRED WITH THE MORAN MCKINNEY, THE ALBERT BALDWIN SANATORIUM ALSO KNOWN NOW AS SOUTHWEST GENERAL HOSPITAL (LTAC). THEN AFTER FEW YEARS THEY HAD SEPERATED, BUT ONCE IT HAD OPENED AGIAN AND THEY ALL CAME BACK. DR. CRIMEN HAD BEEN GIVEN CHArGE OF thE TO ALL THE OFFICES IN THE HOSPITAL.
HAUNTINGS
This hospital is well known for there hauntings. There are many stories about them like, the nurse that roams around in the floors. Many workers or staff have seen the paranormal entities that roam there. One security guard said he saw many of then. He told us that he saw a nurse roaming in the hall ways and he was also in the ghost tours. The Ghost City Tours have done many investigations and tours on this hospital. They have alot of information about the sightings, like, photos,videos, and recordings.
