INTERVIEW QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. WHAT WERE SOME OF THE TRENDS AND DETAILS THAT CHANGED OVER TIME?
THE TRENDS AND DETAILS WOULD HAVE TO BE WHEN WE HAD FIRST OPENED WE HAD STARTED AS AN ACUTE HOSPITAL. BUT THEN WE STARTED MOVING UP SO THEN WE BECAME A LONG TERM HOSPITAL. LONG TERM WOULD BE THAT WE KEEP PATIENCE LONGER FOR ABOUT 21-45DAYS. NOW THAT HAVE THIS WE HAVE MORE ELDERLY PEOPLE HERE, THAT CAN'T TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES. SINCE EL PASO HAS MANAGE CARE, PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHAT THERE SIGNING SO WHEN THEY GET VERY SICK THEY HEALTH CARE AND DON'T GET THE RIGHT HEALTH CARE WHICH LEADS THEM INTO COMING INTO THIS HOSPITAL.
2. IS THERE ANY PATTERNS OR RELATIONSHIPS OVER TIME THAT YOU HAVE SEEN OVER THE YEARS? IF YES WHAT ARE THEY?
MORE PATIENTS THAT I SEE WOULD BE OLDER AND THAT THEY CAN'T TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES ANYMORE, EVEN BABY BOOMERS. MANY OF THESE PEOPLE DIDN'T PREPARE FOR THIS. MANY OF THESE PEOPLE'S RELATIVES JUST LEAVE THEM SO WE COMFORT THEM AND TREAT THEM LIKE FAMILY.
3. WHAT ARE SOME UNANSWERED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ETHICS IN THE BUSINESS?
ETHICS I BELIEVE IN THE RIGHT THING TO DO. MY PRINCIPAL IS TAKE OF OTHERS BUT THEN THE MONEY WILL COME LATER. JUST MAKE SURE THINK MY EMPLOYEES HAVE RESPECT TO ALL OF MY PATIENTS AND TAKE CARE OF THEM WITH RESPECT.
4. DOES THIS COMPANY HAVE ANY MULTIPLE PERSPECTIVES OR BIG IDEAS ABOUT THE HAUNTINGS?
YES, THIS DOES EFFECT US A LITTLE BIT BECAUSE MANY OF THE PEOPLE ARE VERY SCARED OF THE GHOST. EVER SINCE I HAVE BEEN WORKING HER I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING, BUT MOST OF MY PATIENTS HAVE. HE SAID THAT HE KNEW ABOUT THE HAUNTINGS BUT HE CAME HERE BECAUSE HE SAID THAT WE HAVE GOOD MEDICAL HELP HERE.
5.WAS THERE ANY RULES THAT HAD EFFECTED THE INTERDISCIPLINARY CONNECTION WHILE WORKING THERE?
NO, AS A NURSE AND ADMINISTRATOR HAVE MANY THINGS IN COMMON. WHAT MATTERS IS THAT THERE INVOLVED IN MANY OF THE SITUATIONS ABOUT PATIENCE. THEY HAVE TEAMWORK. I MADE A COMMITMENT OF LEARNING ABOUT THE PATIENTS SO I TRY AND MAKE THE OTHER EMPLOYEES TRY TO TOO.
6. WAS THERE ANY CONTRAST BECAUSE OF ALL THE ETHICS BETWEEN THE EMPLOYEES?
NO, BECAUSE I HAVE KNOWN THEM FOR THE LONGEST TIME AND THEY KNOW THAT THEY MUST FOLLOW THE PRINCIPAL. THEY ARE ALWAYS WORKING TOGETHER. THE MORE THEY WORK TOGETHER LESS PROBLEMS
7. HOW WOULD THE LANGUAGE OF THE DISCIPLING EFFECT THE CONTRIBUTION OF PATIENTS TO NURSES?
ALL THE EMPLOYEES THAT I HAVE HIRED HAVE LEARNED ALL THE RULES AND HAVE TO LEARN ABOUT THEM. THEY NEED TO HAVE RESPECT TO ALL OF THE PATIENTS AND EMPLOYEES. MY PRINCIPAL FOR THIS WOULD HAVE TO BE PUSH THEM TO THERE BEST.
8. SOME UNANSWERED QUESTIONS SAY THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE SEEN GHOST WAS THERE ANY DIVERSITY ABOUT THIS STATEMENT?
LOTS OF PATIENCE TELL ME ABOUT THIS. THERE WAS ONCE A PATIENT THAT SAID A GHOST WAS MESSING WITH HIM. SO THEN SHE CALLED A PRIEST AND HE BLESSED THE ROOM. SOMETIMES I JUST JOKE AROUND WITH THEM.
9. DO YOU HAVE ANY MULTIPLE PERSPECTIVES THAT YOU NEVER TOLD ANYONE, IF YES WHAT WERE THE DETAILS IN WHY YOU NEVER TOLD ANYONE?
NO, I AM VERY OPEN IF SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE SAID ABOUT THIS COMPANY I WILL SAY IT. BUT SOMETHING I NEVER TOLD WAS THAT I WANTED TO EXPAND THIS HOSPITAL AND EVERY EMPLOYEE GETS THERE OWN PART OF IT, THE REASON WHY I DONT SAY IT IS BECAUSE MOST OF THESE PEOPLE WILL MAKE FUN OF IT.
10. WHAT GOALS WOULD HELP YOU TO REACH THE BIG IDEAS IN THIS COMPANY? LIKE TO FINISH THE FLOORS...
I WOULD MAKE IT BIGGER AND MORE MODERN. AND ALSO REMODEL IT.
